We all know that COVID -19 is rapidly changing and so are the current rules.  Here is what we will be doing to ensure your safety and the safety of us as we reopen, and what we ask of you:

 Temperature check at the time of appointment.  Due to the recent unprecedented spike of COVID-19 cases in Douglas County, we are now requiring temperature checks for all of our clients.  (Employees have been required to do temperature checks daily since May 18th, 2020).  Anyone having a temperature above 100.3 F will be asked to reschedule the appointment.  We will be using an infrared / no-touch thermometer.  You are welcome to bring your own thermometer if you prefer.  We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone that chooses to not have their temperature taken.  

 Everyone must wear a mask while in the salon. If you do not have a mask, we may be able to provide one at an additional cost.  Due to the high demand for disposable masks, we may not be able to provide you one.  No services will be provided without a mask. Our inability to provide one based on availability does not exempt you from the requirement to wear one.   

Please do not come in if you are not feeling well. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for you.  If you have been in contact with anyone who has had any of these symptoms or if you’ve had any of these yourself, you will need to wait 14 day’s to reschedule. These symptoms are: Cough, headache, sore throat, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, repeated shaking, or new loss of taste of smell. We understand allergy season is upon us but we must adhere to these guidelines. 

• We have updated our cancellation policies to add a ’Sick Client Policy’ which allows you to cancel your appointment without any penalties if you or someone you’re in close contact with have and/or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. 

• If you have traveled out of state in the past 14 days, we will need you to wait an additional 14 days before we can make an appointment for you. 

• Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment.  Due to capacity restrictions we are unable to have anyone at the salon without an appointment.

• We have an active sanitation process and checklist in place that we are following. We will be sanitizing the styling stations, restrooms, doorknobs, surfaces, etc., throughout the day. 

• We will all keep our distance, so we are asking that for right now, no hugs, handshakes, or any unnecessary touching.

Please bring only the bare essentials into the salon.

• We will not be offering beverages or magazines in the salon. 

• We will be asking you to cover your face during your shampoo service if  you have to remove/adjust your mask, and ask there be no talking during your shampoo service. 

• If you’re in need of retail products, please ask your service provider to get what you need before touching any items on the shelves. 

• We appreciate you and your business. Please help us keep this environment safe by letting us know if there is anything that makes you uncomfortable.  

We also want to let you know Salon Di Marco & Day Spa is following CDC guidelines in salon such as, but not limited to:

• All of our employees wear masks whilst at work.

• We are pre-screening our employees each day before their work day starts.

• All high – touch areas such as product stations, light switches, door handles, sinks and faucets, desks, keyboards and common areas are disinfected multiple times each day.

• Our employees are informed and aware to stay home if they have a fever, cold/flu symptoms or have been in contact with anyone as such.

• Hand washing is always practiced by our staff; hand sanitizer and soap is available for our guests at multiple points throughout the salon.

You matter to us and we will do whatever we can to make this work for all of us.
